Overview

At Intuit, our mission is powering prosperity around the world. Every day we innovate with our flagship products - TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mint. No matter your financial need, we have a solution that can help. Whether you’re a consumer, self-employed, or a small business owner, we’re in your corner to help make your dreams of prosperity come true through technology that touches the lives of almost 50 million people.

Intuit is looking for a product designer to help define how small businesses work with their bookkeepers through the QuickBooks Live service. QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping is an online bookkeeping service that connects small businesses with trusted, QuickBooks-certified virtual bookkeepers. This team ensures the small business knows what is needed from them, knows what their bookkeeper is doing, and delivers timely cleaned books so small businesses can make real-time business decisions with confidence.

Our designers are involved at every step of a project—from gathering insights, brainstorming, prototyping, and experimentation to launching pixel-perfect designs. And we’re innovating through machine learning to make every interaction delightfully simple.

If you’re ready to create bold and elegant solutions that power prosperity around the globe, we want to hear from you.

What you'll bring

  • 1-3 years of experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant field or equivalent related experience; Master’s preferred
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and methods
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results
  • Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
  • Expertise conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
  • Mastery of design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Invision
  • A well-presented online portfolio demonstrating your strong craft and collaborative process

How you will lead

  • Solve customer problems by synthesizing behavioral information and imagining things as they might be, not as they are
  • Deliver user flow diagrams, interaction patterns, design specs, wireframes, mental models, information architecture, and prototypes using emotional design methods
  • Participate in, and often lead, customer research with clear goals, a testable hypothesis, and learning plan
  • Conceptualize a broad spectrum of ideas and then narrow based on experimentation and customer research
  • Use visual frameworks and patterns based on brand guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with other designers, content strategists, product managers, product developers, marketers, and researchers
  • Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews
  • Advance a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends
  • Work on multiple projects at one time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately
